Favorite Books

• Chang, Jung.  Wild swans : three daughters of China
• Cherryh, C.J. Foreigner Universe series. Three trilogies and a fourth on the way. Dense and deep "anthropological science fiction."
• De Bernieres, Louis.  The Troublesome Offspring of Cardinal Guzman.  And the other books in his Latin American trilogy.
• Haddon, Mark. A Spot of Bother
• Keroac, Jack. On the Road
• Lee, Harper. To Kill a Mockingbird
• Shaw, George Bernard. Arms and the Man
• Stabenow, Dana. Kate Shugak mystery series. I have read nearly all of them thanks to OU Libraries, Athens Public Library, and OhioLINK! Set in rural Alaska, I highly recommend them to lovers of the outdoors as well as lovers of the mystery genre. The books are well-written but light and entertaining reads.
•  Wilson, F. P.  The Repairman Jack series.  A continuing series of a mercenary in New York. With a mixture of mystery and supernatural.

 Butcher, Jim.  Storm Front.  This is the first book in the Dresden Files (which now is a tv show on the Sci Fi channel).  If you like the dark hero with humor this is the book for you.
